Technically more powerful than PS2 but its disks had a much smaller storage capacity which hindered things a great deal. Ultimately not a huge difference between the two.
I had great fun with the 'cube but I never stick with a brand particularly long. Sega -> sony -> nintendo -> MS and now I've ditched consoles completely to go with my long-standing affair with PC.
Considering Ubi were the biggest supporter of the original Wii at launch, I doubt they'd completely ditch the Wii U.
The best part for me is not only do they not have the XBone ready, but they don't even have faith in their newest operating system to run it. Seems like even MS think Windows 7 is the better than 8 for gamers.
Still, you have to remember some games are going to be badly optimised at the minute and might need a high-end PC for the extra grunt.
Never really had an issue with MP:H. If needs be, just rest the ds on the arm of a sofa or something. I found the shooting mechanisms offered on it were far more precise than most early (i.e. before I stopped playing) Wii titles such as Red Steel.
WWII is an awesome and yet still underexplored setting. The sides are relatively balanced and there's global variety in location. Still, most are either US pacific or Europe or USSR's Great Patroitic war. There are far more participants than the few biggest dogs and a lot more important but smaller theatres to look at...
Thing is though, it's only a few core franchises that are the centre of attention, such as BF and COD. Without either one of them returning to ...
So the solution to being lazy is buy random cheap games at a pre-owned store? Good lord, has he never heard of this hip platform called steam? A platform that gives games with without a multi-million dollar advertisement scheme?
I'd love to see a new suikoden main entry, though I have no console loyalty whatsoever, so I'm hoping for a multiplatform release. At least Tierkreis proved it to not be a Sony exclusive franchise.
3.5 internal 2TB HDDs were sub £60 (which are currently around £70) prior to thailands flooding over a year ago, the prices are coming down close to it, but still not to the October 2011 levels yet. I'd probably wager your HDD would have been less than £60. A quick amazon search shows that you can get a portable 1TB (USB 3 too, no less) for £64.
So I guess they are getting pretty cheap again, but maybe not yours ;P
Seems like a lot of FC2 bashing. I think in part, it is because normal was the worst difficulty. Easy was more simple fun with the ability to act reckless and carry a lot of ammo, yet hard and infamous forced you to play the game properly. Normal didn't really strike either cord and played like a generic fps with more driving.
Really, before anyway completely disregards FC2 (though it is getting old now, so you might as well) try it on infamous - you have to be a lot more...
Doesn't this mean they'd have to start listening once the facts get into the hands of the public via websites listing weapon stats? It is a little silly making claims without knowing the stats behind it, but in some cases it's just obvious. I haven't touched COD since WaW but in the case of BF3, it was pretty obvious when the FAMAS was released as part of DLC, it was horrifically broken even before checking the maths. DICE then did what they do with every completely OP weapon ...
And people complain about sequelitis... Sure these were brilliant games, but can they not be left at that?
Wouldn't it be better if they could just make new IPs that are on par with them?
It's not that hard, just point the sticks in the directions you want to go! Although, it would be nice if they removed the angle limits to rolling, you can start rolling heavily enough to ensure crashing, yet they don't allow you to do a full barrel roll. It's not like helicopters can't realistically do it.
BC2 is probably the easiest to learn to fly on, then go to BF3, and change the controls of helis to match those, whilst in BF3 you do need to feel like you...
To be fair, it is relevant to PC gaming, though you're probably right.
I'm actually planning on getting a HD 7850 anyway, so it's good to hear nvidia are consistently failing to beat AMD to for value, means I won't have to change my build.
I don't really see what's wrong with responsible spending on video games out of loans, theres pretty much no interest on them, and we don't have to pay them back until we've got a decent paying job. It's not as if I've got any other source of income. Tutition fees are paid directly to the uni so you just need to keep an eye on leaving money for rent and food. Books? I pretty much find those to be a huge waste of money.
Speaking of which, they still hav...
Indeed, at the end of day, it's just an advert, even if you try and deduce why the changes have happened, what's the result? It's not like it's a AAA exclusive game announcement or something.
Of course they're going to miss is it, because this pathetic excuse of an article is using wikipedia entirely as it's source. I'm not bashing wiki here at all, because at least the wikipedia article listing the games by sales actually mentions the important part - doesn't include 'sales from digital distribution stores (such as Steam, Direct2Drive, etc.) are omitted as a result of the NPD Group and similar organisations being unable to accurately track these sales'
I don't know, I agree with some of the articles points, but I wouldn't necessarily say it brings in more money to the industry, but it might divert where the money is going, especially if piracy is putting people off buying poor games and encouraging purchasing others - if that is true then it is a positive force - one that rewards quality.
People have a finite of disposable income, I reckon most gamers will spend most of it on that hobby, pirate or not. If someone bu...
My suggestion? Mount & Blade Warband for a proper horseback combat system and large scale fights in a medieval setting. I mean seriously who at Beth thought the current horse controls were fine? Has anyone seen what horseback archery looks like around the stomach area when aiming fully to the right?
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com... - That can completely remove input lag, though its main feature is boosting FPS during motion by dynamically reducing resolution, but that part can be disabled by hitting F10 once.
Kinda annoying how the article doesn't link to Nexus and uses silly ad-infested url shorteners...
It's getting rather silly how many mobas are in development. I only play Dota 2 and refuse to switch. Why trade in a solid one and have to relearn everything to play a fundamentally highly similar game?
Money has no impact on gameplay in Dota 2 as well, the thought of having to pay access anything more than a limited hero pool is a complete offput.
